THEOLOGY OF COMPACARE℠

The core of the CompaCare℠ Model of Ministry is found in Ephesians 4:11-15:

“And His gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is working properly, makes bodily growth and upbuilds itself in love.”

CompaCare℠ is a Ministry Model that helps pastors to equip God’s people to serve by focusing on their unique gifts, talents, and callings. This model helps us to concentrate on the purpose of our calling: to serve. This is how the body becomes united. This is how we grow. This is how we together overcome the darkness of a broken world; we serve one another so that we can withstand the pressures arrayed against us. The core of the CompaCare℠ Model of Ministry is to develop a team of people focused on foster care so the fatherless can be rescued.

This model is just as valid for serving families with special needs, parents caring for elders who are suffering from dementia, or a single mother whose husband is on duty in the armed forces. But the rallying cry is the crisis at our doorstep: children who desperately need the healing touch of a Christian family supported by their entire community so they can be successful!
